QCM has been operating for more than fifteen years and was originally set up as a service company by Dave Salmon and Alan Truelove. Gerry Oakley joined the pair in 2010 to form QCM Equipment after serving as a director of Bradford-based Airedale Catering Equipment.

 

Gerry has spent a lifetime in catering equipment and has successfully designed and managed projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe in every sector of the foodservice industry from healthcare to hotels, restaurants and bars, airports and staff catering.

 

QCM draws inspiration for its business values by looking “proudly backwards”.

Working in a small geographic area means that we can work to the highest standards and ensure that customers are happy to keep coming back and to recommend us. It’s no surprise that many of our clients have been with us since the business started and have grown with us.

We work closely with major manufacturers like Hobart, Rational, Foster, Falcon and you'll often be surprised that quality equipment can still offer value for money.

Most importantly - unlike the internet only suppliers we are always happy to come to your premises and assess your current arrangements then give detailed advice and guide you through all the complications of delivery and installation.

Design

We have over 35 years of experience in every conceivable area of the foodservice industry

 

Great design starts with gaining a detailed insight into your business, so we take an initial brief then making careful recommendations which are both practical and in line with your budget.

To make the best use of valuable kitchen space we produce "made to measure" stainless steel and can also provide expert guidance in specialist areas like ventilation, energy efficiency, and regulations.

 

Project Management

We understand that a vital part of our role in supporting your business is taking full responsibility for all aspects of catering equipment supply - whether it's ensuring you meet current regulations, arranging delivery and installation by fully qualified engineers, removing and safely disposing of redundant equipment - through to staff training after work is completed.
